The B744 and North America...

Any one have the inside scoop on what the plan is for the 744 and North America going forward? Heard we are done with LAX as of mid-November. I assume we are going to SFO for a while longer. Also, what's this I hear about us going back to YVR? If true, will this only be for the duration of the Olympics?

Trying to bid for as many trips as possible before all of North America goes to the 777.

Cheers...

The rumour mill (a friend got this in the 777 Fleet Forum recently) says that the Triple will start going to SFO around April 2010, I don't know if/when it'll take the entire route. I also heard from some YVR based guys that the 744 will do some YVR while the busses are in the shop getting a cabin retrofit. All rumours, but it's good enough for PPrune.

Latest is apparently that the 744 may continue to SFO for a while longer since the loads are so good.
