Air Hongkong 744 BCF Rumour!

Does anyone know if AHK is getting three 744BCF's from CX in April 2010?
Rumour is the AHK boys will fly it! What about the CX boys?

The wet lease is for the current 747 flying HKG-SIN-HKG. This is regarding an additional 3 more 747's to be dry leased from CX.

AHK 747(CX BCF) has been on wet lease since March 09, any additional airframes would likely be crewed the same way.(esp with CX getting one more BCF from Xiamen and 5 Parked in Victorville, including the first BCF delivered to CX)

To My Bonus

Your very intelligent leader at the time signed away the scope agreement with regard to Air Hong Kong.

These pilots have lower pay/benefits and this is an option we are seeking. Our 744 Check and Training Group will be training the Air Hong Kong Pilots but the final command checks will be completed by Management Pilots only to ensure a satisfactory pass rate.

As long as we have a lower paid group with lower operating costs, we will transfer flying to that group, which will ensure My Bonus.

MD11 or B744 AHK

AHK has been looking to lease 3 MD11 or B744 for about 6 months. This is not new news.

AEROLOGIC flying in Asia?

Why would DHL use an expensive European operator to service their routes (in Asia)which are operated by the 'cheapest of the cheapest ' (Transmile/AHK etc..)

Probably because Aerologic are not going to fly the AHK routes

With regard to the BCF's possible. AHK is certainly pointing towards expansion over the next 12 months - if you look at all the telltale signs.

BCF's are probably one of the better (Cheaper) OPTIONS for them however - wet lease or dry lease who knows. Current recruitment / pilot numbers at AHK may give a clue as to who crews them.

CX couldn't possibly provide 744 crew as we are desparately short and training Freighter Captains as fast as we can...... err... hang on.... 9 most junior captains drafted back to the Airbus soonest... WTF?

Give away CX seniority list jobs because you do not like staying up at night....really smart. Are you by chance a CN already?

Question What if?

Current recruitment / pilot numbers at AHK may give a clue as to who crews them.
Not if some of the current guys are on the move across the street with the A330 rolling in next year......then again...........just never know!!
