A question....
Could anyone please tell me what the seniority or lifestyle of a 2nd year DEFO would be like today....
I turned down the position and am curious in retrospect where I would be within CX.
Cheers

Looking at the F/O rosters, your N American based (I assume) roster (schedule) on the -400 would give you somewhere between 15 and 20 days a month off with between 5 and 7 operating sectors, a deadhead sector or two possibly.
There will be 4 transpac crossings or so.
I'm neither N American based nor an F/O but on the -400.

Depends on whether it was for Pax or Freighter. I think the timeline you suggest would indicate Pax, which would be the 777-300ER based out of YVR or YYZ. That lifestyle is not bad, either 2 trips a month from YYZ, or 3 from YVR with an average of 18-20 days off a month. Probably alot more than you get now, but with alot more jetlag also! Depends on what's important to you. Any regrets?

Thanks All....
No Regrets at all - Quite happy with the descision actually.
Have been subsequently upgraded about a year and a half ago now...have a great lifestyle with frequent OGG and HNL 48hr layovers and this years t4 is looking close to 200cdn.
I look forward to one day flying longhaul but when the offer came about I thought long and hard and realised it was less about coming to CX and it was why leave WS?
WS remains a great place to work.
All the best and thanks for the serious replies.
Regards
