You know that you've been SHAFTED when....

Day 1 of annual leave yippee, time to ease on down to Chep Lap Kok and I'm outa here!! But wait, whats that crowd milling about at the staff check in desk? Oh well, join the queue and present the good old staffy and I'm off home to..........................what's that? Whadya mean "NO CHANCE CANBLOODYNOT"? What about the next flight? Whadya mean that even worse? Sorry I don't think I heard correctly, did you say "get lost and come back tomorrow"? Bugger Bugger Bugger.

O.K Day 2 of annual leave yippee, time to ease on down to Chep Lap Kok and I'm outa here!! But wait, whats that crowd milling about at the staff check in desk? Oh well, join the queue and present the good old staffy and I'm off home to..........................what's that? "Whadya mean NO CHANCE CANBLOODYNOT"? What about the next flight? Whadya mean that even worse? Sorry I don't think I heard correctly, did you say "get lost and come back tomorrow"? Bugger Bugger Bugger.

O.K day 3 of annual leave and I'm getting wiser. I know...... I'll just get on-line and buy one of those really cheap fares that we are giving away in order to stay in business. Log on, punch in the details.................Whadya mean NO CHANCE CANBLOODYNOT unless you wanna pay 1.5 times the normal fare. Tony told me that we had these really really cheap fares that we were gifting to the public cause life is really really tough and we'll all be roooned!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez, just as well I took that SLS....................flights are over-booked by a dozen punters or more to a plethora of sulubrious destinations (and the not so) around the world, if things don't improve golly gosh guess what.................there wont be enough for those enormous share buy-back schemes and we'll all be really really roooned. And while I'm thinking of how lucky I am that I took that SLS deal on a buy now pay later scheme (money out now - leave graciously granted in April) I am begining to wonder just how I might go about arranging my annual chep lap kok airport arze-rheeming for next year when I don't get the annual leave I asked for because I'm so busy taking SLS so that we can all avoid being roooned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And on the subject of that Sharp Long Spike that I have protruding from my fundamental orifice in order to fund that Share Looting Scheme that I helped fund, I'm thinking of a little notice to management and the "association" (that looks after our interests ) NEVER EVER again boys, NEVER EVER again.

P.S. To those of you who had the balls to say you to the proponents of this scheme, I salute you, I only wish I had done the same.

Picture this: 250+ people milling around staff check-in, ticketing says ''sori Cx 9** [MNL]] no chance''. Suddenly 245 people move away! leaving just 5..

And it would appear that when you waitlisted for your flight you didn't check the loadings. Popular destination? School holidays? Consider a jump seat? Half a brain?

The HKAOA, I feel that you may have missed my point entirely but thats O.K. I would not expect anything more , and regarding the secondary issue, I tried for the jumpseat as soon as the allowable time transpired and got no better than 3rd priority.

Flights were full before we cut back on capacity. And now flights are even more so... well the ULR ones I have been looking at. And as mentioned above, cx does not have any cheap airfares, in fact the airfare I purchased was half that of the cx fare. The cheap fares are out there, just not with cx.

I wouldnt bother with the stress, buy yourself a ticket.

You should all know the story by now - should you not.. Dont blame it on the AoA - its no their fault you accepted the SLS. Now live with it and stop whining like little girls. You work for Cathay Pathetic - and thus live with the consequenses..
