Dear GMA

Dear Richard,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Just a short note to let you know I was about to log on and select COS08 and therefore not need to partake in SLS. However as your email indicated COS08 has yet to be written and indeed may or may not include some of the negotiated improvements.
I now have little choice but to do nothing.
Kind regards
Every FO/SO I know

You have to be kidding? You actually think that FOs & SOs are actually considering this crap? You are very wrong there.

This is a wake up call to all the Captains that are considering signing on to this "fictional" COS. As per management's update, do you know which aspects of COS08 will be honored and which wont? There might be some "extra" requirements to work until 65 that we don't yet know about.

Don't trust people that are not trustworthy. If they want you to sign, demand that the deal be in front of you in hardcopy. At least, do not sign via intraCX, but via letter which outlines your terms for affecting their electronic offer. CYA guys, just like every other decision you make on the plane.

Great stuff, the problem is some have already signed.

The AoA said in their last news letter they'll help those poor soles.

Quote:
"If it transpires that members have made a choice based on erroneous information we will take all necessary steps to enable members to reverse such a decision."

If you can belief that!

If only Jagman & the likes could get their heads out of the fence now!

Guy's don't make the same mistake! Stay calm & professional as 18th Approaches!

Remember this mess was not our doing! So have a clear conscious.

We are all loyal employees doing our jobs to the highest standards. Wish we could say the same for management.

90+% would have taken SLS if they had not muddied the water.
Believe you me they know that!

Grrr

News from AOA lawyers is that Electronic signing is perfectly LEGAL. So now how about sorting out the possible future challenge to signing something that was non existent, ? i.e...... reversal clause

You're not signing something that is non existent, you're signing the original COS08 without improvements! It was never said otherwise! It's not hard to understand that the improvements will only be incorporated after the deadline, if the company still feels like it. If you feel you absolutely need the improvements for you to sign COS08, then ask yourself how much you trust management. There's absolutely no legal issues here, as you're not signing the new contract but the old one. Geez!
