LOSING MONEY ???

First we are told more cash going out than coming in, ie making a loss.

Next the spin doctors told us that in a good year we make $9 in every 100, ( Not sure if this just KA ) management speak for 9% return on investment, I believe 9% is considered very good in the airline industry.

Then they tell us revenue down 20% on a record year last year. ( 2007/2008 )

20% of $9 is $1.80, so still making $7.20 in every $100

Surely if cash flow was negative, revenue must be down > 100%, accounting 101.

LIES AND DAMN STATISTICS

Quote from Book Power of one: " First with the head then with the Heart"
That is the approach we have taken in the past, hasn't worked yet.

If u go in with windmilling fists - you'll almost certainly not make it past the first round!
I would rather go in with windmilling fists than your approach, head first - fists down.

Look, have you ever heard of "the simplest plan is the one that works"? That is true and is the approach we need to take. You can't overanalyze this. This is a simple attack on our conditions and an attempt at eroding our package.

It is no good to achieve a contract if you are not willing to defend it. Those of you that are dying to sign up for this piece o'****t COS08, remember that the fact that you backed down means that they could very well come at you in a couple of years with COS11 which will most likely take away all the reasons that you whored yourself out for COS08.

You think it won't happen, then you deserve what comes to you and you should sign COS08.

Don't get me wrong. Many of us would love to get in the ring with NR.
Though it'll be a very costly round.

Maybe if we used our heads 1st, we could then follow up with our hearts and put him away for good.

Power of One excellent book - try reading it once this is all done & dusted!

Can anyone come up with some really important differences between Cos99 and CoS08? I did my best to look at both, and if you are based in HK, there is really no difference between the two. Accept for retirement age, of course, but one can still retire at 55 under CoS08. Whats all the fuss really about?

There could be some issues with BPP and time to upgrade, but they seem impossible to quantify at this point.

Any thoughts, things I am missing? Thanks.
