Friend in trouble, need a good lawyer

I have a friend who has run afoul of the legal system in HK. Some errors followed by poor representation has made a real mess of things.

I am trying to help out. I need to find a good defense lawyer in HK who works on criminal matters.

I am sure somebody here has known of somebody who got in a situation and needed a good lawyer and can pass on a recommendation.

You can post or PM me with any recommendations. Time is somewhat critical.

No it is not me in trouble and no not anybody we work with.

I don't have a good opinion of Hong Kong lawyers because when I needed a prenuptial agreement not one would make it for me.
We also know that lawyers, like doctors, tend to hang together rather than hang separately.
More info would be helpful. Of what crime is your friend accused?

If you are in the AOA, then call the Gen Sec for info about the free consultation with the Associations Lawyer, which all members are entitled to. They have seen it all before, and this is a good starting point for all legal matters.

If you are not in the Union, then you are on your own.

I am in the AOA but this is for somebody who doesn't even work for the airlines. I might send AOA an email to see if they can recommend somebody though.
