Flight Sim 2004
Anyone know where I can get a good B747-400 package for Microsoft FS 2004?
I have tried the packages from Project Open Sky but the simulaion is very basic and the aircraft is generic and not like a real -400. It also does not display the overhead panel or center panel. I have heard F/Os talking about a good package (could even program the FMS) but don't remember the name.
Any suggestions, please?

744 Simulation
If your looking for a realistic 744 simulation, forget FS2004. Try the following sim. It recreates ALL the 744 systems, including failures etc.
Precision Simulator www.aerwinx.com
Used when on the -400. it was awsome for sim prep etc.
Cheers

Precision simulator...
Precision Simulator is still available but second hand.
Astonished to find out that many flight and engineering schools uses this software.
I could lay my hand on a copy, and I confirm that this is the most realistic software ever made to simulate flying, navigation but more specifially the B 744 specifications.

Flight Simulator for sale
If anyone is interested I am giving away my PC and 19 inch monitor with CH Flight Sim Yoke and Pedals. Installed on the system is the 747 aerowinx program and Flight Sim 2004(running windows 98). PC works great and so do the controls however someone with more computer savvy than me will have to get the two to talk to eachother. In an attempt to get it ready for sale I took the computer in to have it installed in a new case. In the process the wizards at the comp. lost the drivers for the gameport and I haven't touched it since. I used this setup as an SO and it was great for practicing handling and keeping the scan up. Free to anyone that wants to pick it up! Lantau Island. PM me if interested

can personally vouch for fs2004 or fsx and pmdg.
You can upload the current nav database to it and have all the stars, sids and approaches you need. EICAS is fully functional, so are all the switches and knobs.
It is essentially the real thing without hydraulics and 4am sign on times.

Not much you need chnage to match the exact CX 744 specifications.
You can set the units to KG's. And dont use the taxi light switch since the RR CX 744s dont have it either and dont think they Autostart, so dont use it.
Everything else is pretty much standard.
