I think you will find that neither the Capt or FO were even CCQ. Not sure though if it was a late a/c change or not. Either way, the scheduling system should have had warning bells going long before the a/c even left HKG.

Ahh beginning to make sense, the crew I was talking about were called out / roster change and they were CCQ'd and they thought it was a strange duty.
