What are the rules these days on 'nationality' or 'place of birth' when born in flight? Seem to remember some Urban Myths that the home port of the airline could be used...
Does anyone know the answer?

on board birth.
Its still the nationality of the mother with discretion given to the flag carrier nationality to provide either joint or choice. Flag carrier Govt can still veto as necessary, (Nigeria in bounds to Uk for example and mexican/hispanics to USA).

Traditionally kid gets free pass for life on the airline he/she is born on! It used to be a huge promo opportunity.
Kind of don't see it happening here. Lack of imagination in marketing dept if you ask me...they still trying to figure how to show a guy reading a newspaper in new J class - or holding his wife's hand....
