Blown away....
So let me get this straight!!!
We complain on here, we complain at work and we complain in the cockpit!!!
We all know how to run this airline a better way!!!
However
Only just over a third of us give a s*** enough about out conditions to fill the survey out.
I feel sorry for ST - Look what he has to work with
Pathetic

Hey Jack,
better check your blood pressure, seems to me like your about to X-PLODE!!!!!
By the way, since when has ST asked US for help? He seems to think he knows it all, what with playing golf with NR and making sure that everything that the company wants, they get...
I am too tired to even care anymore, gonna fill out another CHIRP....anyone need a copy?

actually jack, you sound like one of GC members, very close to ST perhaps? I mean only GC members would be privy to the numbers...and if you are, it raises some interesting issues..issues that i will ponder for the next few seconds
flying kiwi,
The AOA computer was down for a week, only a week so if you sent emails more than a week apart you would have got a reply.
Phone was available at this time though.

A good result
Voluntary voting often has turnouts of 50% or so. If you assume most of the survey respondents were AOA members then we probably had 60-70% completing.
Who normally responds to surveys? The extremes -people who feel strongly one way or the other. The middle of the road group often (rightly) feel that their input will not affect the outcome. Just because we don't have 100% responding doesn't mean we won't have meaningful data from the survey. With correct statistical sampling you can get fairly accurate results from just a couple of percent of the population. Because in this survey you are self selecting, you need a bigger sample to make it relevant.
So ask yourself what the other 1200+ pilots think. Is every non member or AOA non replier happy here? If so, why wouldn't some of them have wanted to say so? The truth is that many are middle of the road or, worse still, so despondent and apathetic they have lost the will to effect change...the last attitude I see more and more of - three of my friends have left CX in the last 3 months!
We had almost 900 pilots fill out a survey out of 2300 pilots - CX got almost 100 responses out of 20,000 employees last month with its campaign of "WeSuggest" - which leadership has greater issues????? (trick question - same leadership;-)

Fuji,
I am a member and have been ever since i joined CX, so take your attitude and go run to mum and tell her that i called you bad names, silly little git!!!
AOA continues to go down a path that doesnt seem to have the interest of the membership, and this year we have a few high profile negotiations coming up and i will bet my months salary plus the 13th month, that NR will get what he wants, I mean why should things change now? Since ST has been at the helm of this great AOA, the only thing that has been voted through that was probably an accident is the housing, and i am sure this year NR will want to put a stop to that!!!
Oh well, i better part my cheeks now and bend over, i am sure there are going to be a few inbounds...

Why can't anyone make a comment without someone else jumping in with something derogitory to say. It's very sad and indicitive of the issues we face here at CX. Why can't we all just band together for the better good of the group and stop the infighting, finger pointing and immature comments.
We can't change the past but we can definitely try to change the future.
