Stylish Accessories
Does Cx provide things like: Rain jackets, winter jackets, overnight bags etc. or can we provide our own. Just want to know what of my old stuff to bring.
As well, how much room is there on the 777 for the SO's flightbag? I currently have a full sized hard case (although I'm not sure what i'd carry, no headsets, no charts.) What do most people use?
Thanks

Ease up pardner
Glacier :
Man you got to slow down! Bring your flight bag, toss the coat (unless you want to wash your golf cart in it) pack your parka (in case there is another winter like this last one!!) and you will need some -40 sorrells in case you divert to Churchill on your way to JFK.
Do not worry about a life partner as one will be supplied, you will have to buy your own pump and carrying case for him/her. Not too worry as these plastic beauties fit under the crew rest bunk nicely along side your carry on of standard proportions. Also they are much cheaper in the event you decide to upgrade later on.
Good Luck.

While I figured I'd get some flak about the winter jacket thing (though last I checked JFK can get pretty canadian in the winter, churchill aside. And last I was in HK it rained for a week straight), my life partner and I are just trying to figure out what to trek across the world.
Also thought it might be a tad embarrassing to show up with a 40gal flight bag to have the Capt go "WTF do YOU need that for dozer?"

Most carry those soft style flight bags (you know, like a laptop bag, but bigger). You must carry your licence and a torch but in addition the typical flight bag carries sunglasses, magazines, a laptop, personal bottle of water, calculator and not much else. For longhaul you can carry a t-shirt and shorts to sleep in during crew rest.
There is plenty of room in the cockpit for each pilot to carry flight bag, be it a big traditional hard leather one or smaller...and room for some shopping bags on the way home too!
