Could someone please tell me what would be a normal schedule for a JFK 744 FO?...maybe if anyone can share their roster for last month.

Also, any info on jumpseats on US Carriers?...I live in South FL and got JFK as my base. How easy would it be to commute?

Thanks

Depends on if you are a pax or freighter dog.

The pax 744 arrives around 20:00 each day and leaves at 21:45. However this will change in Oct as no more 744 pax. The freighter roster is a wild guess.

Average so far is about 2 x 6-7 day patterns a month. Add a day or two for the commute. Also expect some positioning flights to Dallas/Atlanta/Anchorage etc on the Company's dollar. Overall a good roster, at least until you're Relief Qualified.

No more 744pax in Oct? No more CX888/889?

Pretty sure that in Oct we're going to 3x 777 daily non-stops. I believe at that point the 744 is finished in NY, at least for pax.

As I understand it the 747 will continue the one stop even after the 3rd 777 flight is added.

Cool

When the JFK services go 3 x daily on the 777, there will be no more -400 Pax service. The reason for the switch was aircraft utilization. CX did not like that the aircraft was sitting overnight in JFK. With only one aircraft type, the time spent on ground is cut down dramatically (not sure how much though).

All the -400 Pax guys out of YVR are being retrained onto the 777 with the exception that a couple are going to the Bus.
