Oasis Cancellations
Does anyone know why Oasis are cancelling flights over the Easter period?
Given the connections involved at either end and high prices on feeder flights around this period, this is a real pain and proving very costly. So much for saving money
Is this a lack of demand or cost-cutting measure? - thing is I'm not really keen to book future flights if it will fold in between.

FairlieFlyer,
no worries, the airline is doing just fine. My guess is, that the schedule change is due to the Aircraft being temporarily re-directed to a different route, possibly due to seasonal demand. The daily LGW service remains untouched, they just scale down the number of flights.
Additional routes are being planned as we speak, so stay tuned to new announcements. In the future, you will be able to stavel to more destinations and with a better sevice.

The vultures can go back to sleep - Oasis is alive & very well!! The aircraft is required for a wet lease over this period. The fifth aircraft is on track for April. A new European route is planned for July and a down under for late August. The destination(s) are still subject to final government approvals but expect a public announcement soon.

good to hear the airline is doing well, every time we have travelled it has been excellent esp the great cabin crews
I would however say while operationally this may make sense, if you're a passenger reliable scheduling comes very high on the list when choosing who to fly with.

Over on Flight Info they are saying that the load factors are way off and the employees are getting nervous. I am guessing you work there? So whats the job like ( ie scheduling, trip length, pay, etc) Thanks!
