Cabin Crew leaving quicker than Cockpit crew

Have you guys noticed how many flights are now leaving with less than the normal cabin crew numbers. I have had 3 flights in a row where we were 1 short.

Apparently Chinese new year will be having a lot of crew going sick as they say it is more productive to stay at home than go to work.

Yes Nick you are right all is good at CX, apparently you are currently training the next batch of crew for Oasis.

Mmmmmm, I did note that my flight for tomorrow within 16 hours is six cabin crew short. It is one of those classic last minute sickness flights, and is not an aircraft change from smaller to larger.

I am a believer in the statement from a previous company medical doctor when he was criticised by flight ops management for the levels of sickness at that time as though it was his fault. He replied, "crew sickness is an industrial problem."

1 short

I have noticed a similar thing on my flights lately- 1 short.

The company seems to be getting itself into a nice tight corner.

I know of a reasonably easy way to help fix moral and make people more helpful - $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. (I know I'm dreaming - but hey).

At least Oasis are smiling.

.....especially when you have idiots in Screw Control calling them on G days and using threats as "you WILL take what we give you" or "are you refusing a duty ?".

Oh yeah, all is well

Here's a conundrum - what's worst, CC or the Bush's "either you're with us, or you're against us" politics ?

S.Os as F.As???

Saw on the Oz forums that QF may be introducing "in extreme circumstances" the S.O will be a door primary in case of a F.A shortfall for take offs and landings!!! Oh ya gotta love the bean counters!!!!

No wonder that they can't train enough cabin replacements - there are plenty of other better paid options in Hong Kong (outside the flying circus of course).
Yip..even MCDonalds pays better than CX..and you get a DECENT meal for lunch!!!
