Classic or 400 for KA Cargo FO's
Hi guys, can anybody tell me if new hires at Manchester on the freighter, start on the classic still or is it now more likely the 400.
With all the rescent issues at dragonair,do you guys still feel that the freight side of the operation will remain much as it is today, or will cathay try to merge the two freight operations into one.

400s only ...

Any new hires will be to the 400. The Classic is history.
Will KA continue to run the freighter ... yes, into the ground probably. It would be hard to imagine a more dysfunctional, inefficient operation lasting too long in its present form - but given the lack of accountability over the whole setup I guess it could continue to limp along for a while ...

If you're thinking of coming to Dragonair then I suggest you read the latest threads regarding life at KA before you accept any job offer. It would also be wise to contact the DPA for a more accurate assessment of what is going on. The DPA committee can be reached via their website www.dpa.hk
