Fella, the reason I got so worked up was that there was nothing in my previous post to suggest that my mention of low time had meant guys with thousands of hours gained by flying whatever they flew. It was you, who had decided that my idea of low time meant props hours were insignificant, not me. So to accuse me of demeaning the good pilots here would indeed get me hot under the collar as I have nothing but respect for our guys.
Now I reckon that it was a genuine misinterpretation of my post and I would have accepted your apology were it not for the fact that you still seem to think I'm offending a group of our chaps.
nuff said, back to the bar and who gives a ****.. low time, high time, jet time, non jet time, lets just get back to the original point of why one should or should not join HKA

Depends what people are after. Problem now is the amount of captains joining is remaining static, while the amount of FO's are increasing and right now theres no command course.
If you're a captain looking for lots more hours and only a little time off(as well as the relatively little reward compared with other local carriers) then this place is for you.
If you're an FO, and you're looking to accumulate hours quickly you have to consider some things. Firstly, overtime starts at 70 hours, so the company will roster someone else before letting you get over that number. Secondly, you may not even reach 70 because of the surplus amount of FO's. To some, 70 maybe a lot, to others not enough, its all a question of perspective. Just thought I had to add this extra information in case some guys are after hours quickly, at present its not happening.

Beerboy, you forgot to mention 5-6 months average time between joining and CTL.
An effo could be looking at as few as 2-300 hrs in his/her 1st year, about as useful as a screen door on a 737.

Fair, what he ( cpahka ) said.
2 a/c delayed til next year, so cant see too many DECs required.
To answer your question tho, alot of 737 F/O time and or previous jet command on similar a/c.
