A lesson from Gulf Air
Gulf Air today anounced a very substantial pay increase - as much as 35% I believe for some FO's.
This in reaction to 100+ resignations in reaction to their last offer to the crew.

Basic = 2100BD
Housing = 650BD
Pay per block hours = 6BD (average 60 hours = 360BD)
Meal Allowance per hour TAFB= 1.5BD (average 150 hours = 225BD)
Wife allowance = 42BD
Communications = 13BD
Utilities = 48BD
Transportation = 40BD
Total = 3478BD or $9,226.20
That's a first year F/O wage. It goes up 50BD/month for each year of service. It's at least equivilent to Emirates wages now.
Career progression, and some working conditions are still in need of lots of attention, however it at least helps put up with them in the meantime.
