How much does it cost to fly non-rev HKG-JFK-HKG on Cathay Pacific during your first 6 months (economy or business)?

What are the temporary bases in the US or Europe on the B744? Are they offered often?

How many sim sessions on the B744 for Second Officers (info sheet says 10 weeks)?

Any FO's have experience living in Ireland and commuting to Europe base... (taxes, getting on flights, etc)?

The return fare for a business class staff travel ticket HKG-JFK-HKG is
3452Hkd. On monkey class its 1732 (16H - niiiice).
As an S/O u can not get a permanent base - only a temporary base. 2 months a year. B744 pax; SFO/LAX. PAR/LON/FRA.
3Ys ago the S/O B744 course were 9 sims. 7 "training" sessions and 2 tests.
Dont know about the Ireland thing.

How does a temp base work? Are you on your own, as far as accomodations and food are concerned, or is it like TDY in the US?

Yes you are on your own. No accomodation, food and stuff provided. They will keep providing you monthly housing in Hong Kong.
