Variation to AFTLs

Hey, look... down there at the end of the tunnel. It's a light...

Or maybe it's a big signing flashing "THINGS TO COME"

The "LIMITS" are there for a reason. CX has the shocking concept that the limits are in fact targets and as such roster to them. When they push up against the limit, what do they do? Appeal to have a variation, and that neutered b!tch more frequently referred to as the CAD roll over for a pat on the belly.

How about we start flying the jets on the limit. VMO/MMO climb descent.

Q. "What does the red mark on the EGT indicate?"

A. "The EGT start target"

That sort of "limiting" will only hurt us. More appropriate would be to aim for the "lower limits". Like, what is the slowest you can fly? Well, then lets go to the limit speed. What is the most distant alternate? Well, then lets fill her up so we have a reliable alternate. We have to stop for furel? Sounds good. Slow down, make sure you get there and turn into a pumpkin. I'm sure there is a fresh crew in HK ready to PX out to pick up the plane.

As long as people keep doing favors, the limits will only get stretched further and further. Now is the time to show a little union support and slow things down a bit. Send a message.
