Frt. command to Pax command

Is this a possibility? if so what are the restrictions? and now for the real question, how realistic is it for an American to do this?

I tried to look for the answer in previous posts with no joy.

Once sitting in the left seat of a freighter you just need 2 things for it to happen:
1. Have done a minimum of 3 years on the freighter.
2. Have the seniority to hold a pax command, currently about 9 years.
It has been done by an American

Loop.., that seems pretty straight forward, I figured there might be more restrictions. Thanks for the info.

Nobody who joined freighters as a DEFO then upgraded to Captain has transferred to the pax fleet as a Captain. All those in this group have less than 8 years seniority on the CX list. There have been several who were pax FO's that took their command on the freighter and have since moved to the pax fleet in the left seat.

Just wanted to clarify this.
