FedEX guy needs Cathay HKG help

FedEX is "scheduled" to close our SFS (Subic Bay) base in Dec 2008.
The original plan was to have the new Asia crew base in Guangzhou, but that fell through for a number of reasons (thank god).

Now, the "plan" (by plan, I mean rumor) is to have the new Asia crew base in HKG. The numbers floating around the Union about what the company is offering for a housing allowance (3000 usd) and for schooling ($0!!) are quite scary.

Can a CX guy simplify for me what the housing and education allowances are?
From what I've read here, I think the housing allowance is based on an RFZ index multiplier, which currently comes out to 52,000 HKG per month. Not sure about the educational benefits.

Anyway, some simple numbers would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Dragonair benefits

In Dragonair we get between 24000 HKD up to 55000 HKD depending on if you rent and how you rent or buy (if you buy it is 44000).
To cover the schoolfees around 5000 HKD per month.

Education

If you want youtr kids to goto an ESF (English School Foundation) school, it will cost you easily 12000 USD per year per child once the school bus ..etc is added on. The problem is that they mix with over-priveleged spoilt little brats and they will need to be kept in line with regular reality checks.
