U.S. Freighter FO ??
I'm waiting for a class date for DEFO. I want to live in SFO with my base being LA. Does Cathay fly cargo out of SFO? If I use SFO as my prefered port, how much commuting to LA will I be doing. Any info will be helpful. Thanks, Berry

The freighter does visit SFO a couple of times a week, but it is two crew LAX-SFO-ANC (departing after midnight). A typical FO sched for LAX base is to work 2-3 times a month to Hong Kong and back. You should plan to commute twice a month, but it will probably be less than that. It varies.
