All applicants must possess the following basic qualifications:
•Now plan on hiring total of 227 pilots during 2007
•Have hired 84 F/Os Jan –Mar ‘07
•143 Open F/O positions remain (Apr-Nov hire dates)
–Current open F/O position distribution
•MD-11 78 (ANC)
•A300 6 (SDF)
•B-757 51 (11 SDF, 22 SDFZ, 15 ONT, 3 MIA)
•DC-8 5 (SDF)
•747-400 19 (ANC)
16 of these positions may be filled by probationary DC-8 F/Es

- Have a minimum of 500 hours as either PIC or SIC in Transport Category aircraft or military equivalent
- Have transoceanic crossing experience as either PIC or SIC
- Have a minimum of 1000 hours pilot in command (PIC) hours in fixed-wing jet and/or fixed-wing multi-engine turboprop
- Pilot in Command, per FAR 1.1, means the person who:
- Has final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of the flight;
- Has been designated as the pilot in command before or during the flight;
- Holds the appropriate category, class, and type rating, if appropriate, for the conduct of the flight

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:- Hold a valid passport.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Recency and type of experience will be considered; for example, preference given to candidates with demonstrated flight experience in transport category aircraft within the last 12 months from date of application.
- Have authorization to work in the United States.
- Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Hold a current ATP certificate OR hold an ATP written with a commercial pilot airplane multiengine land certificate with instrument certificate
- Hold a current flight engineer written or current flight engineer certificate
- Hold an FCC restricted radiotelephone operator permit
