DFW base?
Longtime lurker, first time poster. I submitted the online resume a few months ago, hoping for a DEFO interview. Are there still rumors of a DFW base in the future? Anything more than rumors?
I'm willing to move anywhere and having my kids spend part of their childhood overseas is important to me, but the chance to move back closer to home eventually makes the deal a bit more attractive.
I understand that some of the ATL crews can start their trips in DFW sometimes. Is this common or just something that happens once in a blue moon?

From what I have been told DFW is a base just not open to new hires. Anyone can request a preferred port and they said they will try to get you trip starting out of there. Anything could change by the time you go through the process and go to training. This is what I was told during the second stage in HKG so it may not work that well on the line. Good luck!
