DEFO Salary Question

Could anyone tell me if you are a Canadian, but offered a US base (LAX, ORD, JFK)......is the salary paid in CDN or US $? For me, I would commute either from YYZ or YVR down to the states.......
Am I right in thinking it's the US salary.
How does the tax situation work in this case?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers,
EEEdog

You are correct and Richard Wong is wrong!

Convert your salary at the official rate and claim it on your CDN tax return.

Please enlighten us then. Why would the IRS care if a CDN is flying an aircraft from the USA on an international flight? If a CDN gets paid in USD? If a CDN commutes to the USA?

Please tell Mr. Wrong!

Easy does it

Give him a break, Mr Wong just joined us and he has not even had a chance to research the fact that this has been discussed here before.

Maybe he will do a little research before telling us how much he knows !

Happy New Year !
