Housing for Pilots???

I am joining in HK soon and have been looking on the net at housing in HK. It is a lot more expensive than I thought. If any of the old hands prowling this site has the time I would appreciate your insight here.

1. How much can average CX pilot buy for - taking into account the housing allowance over time (15 years?)?
2. Will the company adjust the allowance periodically in line with the market eg. can a new joiner today buy the same size/quality property somebody joining ten years ago could afford then?
3. Do you think there is a correction coming in house prices - HK seems vey expensive for Asia in general - can it stay that way?

I realise most of this will be explained when I get there end ofthe year - but I am curious now!

Thanks
