Question Furloughed pilots leaving CX

How many Furloughed pilots, currently employed at CX, will return to their original US Airline if offered the chance?

Rumours on "the Street" are that the numbers may be as high as 20 to 30 pilots.

Unlikely. Even if true that is only 1 - 1.5% anyway which wouldn't exactly bring the airline to a grinding halt.

Hopefully all 20 will go. I would like to stress that I would like them to go so as to improve our industrial position here and NOT to remove any Americans from CX.
I had a few drinks with a Canadian chap that left CX 6 years ago to join Air Canada. He said it was the best move he's ever made, and good on him.

I left Cathay from the RHS of the 744 (London base) 9 years ago. Despite any present issues at BA it was a great move. It's always a personal decision and everyone has different needs and circumstances - there's only one decision to be made and that is the right one for YOU.
