KA pulls out of Bangkok
Dragonair has announced that it will be stopping it's Hong Kong - Bangkok service as of 27 September, KA staff in Bangkok have been informed.
So much for the strenghening of Dragonair!!

Part of the rationalisation with the CX schedules. Anywhere that CX can absorb the pax and cargo they will close your small base and reap the extra revenue.
But don't think that this is a bad thing. Your spare aircraft and crew will now be able to fly higher yield routes, especially to China where CX have such a poor route structure. Did you see the slot CX were given for SHA/ PVG? Arrival 0200 something, departure 0300 something. CX is still toast in China, KA have the guang shi, so you will continue to prosper there.
Ground staff will hopefully be integrated into CX, but in some cases there will be redundancies. Sad, but there are jobs out there at the airports of Asia.
