Housing with Family during DEFO Training
"Fellas"-
That is what I meant about the wife and child accompanying me to training. I figure it does not much matter (by dollars) if my wife rents an apartment in the US while I am training, or if we rent an apartment for her and child in HK while I am in training,... as far as the $$$ goes.
I figured the apartment (Discovery Bay or Tung Chung) is on our dime, but the Headland is paid for by CX whether I come alone or happen to be there with wife and child in a rented apartment.
Thoughts?

#9,
As long as your wife and kids are fully briefed on your situation, are ok with your priorities, and very flexible; it could be the perfect situation to be in. If you try and nickle and dime it and keep them in the hotel though it could be a career killer. It sounds like you are making good decisions by having them stay close but not too close. I wish my wife would come hang out in HK while I was in training, but I know she wouldn't want to be away from home for that long. Let me know how it goes for you so I can try and convince her as my class date approaches
Cheers,
BBB
