Post Deposits on apartments....

Has any one had any situations where after renting a serviced apartments they have had trouble getting the deposit back. Some places want 2 months rent as deposit, which can add up to quite alot of cash, which you wouldnt want to loose..

Does any one have any advice???

Cheers

advice...yeah, haggle over the lease, they expect it, only pay 1 months deposit and sign up for 6 months that way if you don't like the pace you can get out and your not too commited!!!

I was living in serviced apartments in Tsim Sha Tsui for 6 months and had absolutely no problems getting my bond back. Nothing was deducted from it even though there were many broken plates and glasses!

My helper even blew up their microwave which I thought I would have to replace, and no! They didn't want anything.

So relax, it's a great stressfree way to start life in HK.
