Hi Dartman,

I'm not into moutain climbing myself, but chatting with some colleagues who are, I heard there's a good climbing wall in the YMCA building in Tsim Cha Tsui, Kowloon.
May be you could start from there.

Enjoy,

Are you living in HKG? Or are you about to move here?

The reason I ask is my climbing gear has been gathering dust ever since I moved to HKG..... I would be really interested if you find a good gym in town. Unless you are bouldering..... it's a 2 man sport, so if you end up getting into it here, let us know!

....thanks, I'll have a look at the ymca.

Not really into bouldering. I do go however, only real option if you're solo, and not MAD!! I don't live in HKG at the moment, but probably next fall. I'll let you know how the ymca looks like and send a pm. I'm in town mid month,...

Hi Dartman,

Never been to HKG, but one of my climbing partners lived out there and reccomends the granite in the area...seriously good routes apparently, but only 2-3 pitches I think he said.

Think there is a mixture of bolted and trad routes, and judging by the number of good HKG climbers I've met in my trips, there must be a good sport/trad thing going there.

Cheers,
Dave
