Thumbs up info about pilot

Hello. I am a pilot from argentina. In august last year I put in PPrune about info about cathay and one cathay pilot answer to my email and give me info about the recruiting in Cathay Pacific. The guy that answer my is a A340/330 copilot o pilot in cathay living in hong hong. He look inside in the company and told me that he find out that I dont qualify in cathay until i fly in a english speaking country and when I do that to email him so he can see if he can do anything. I am currently flying as a metro III captain in Bahamas and I would like to see if I can aply again in any future. If you see this post please email me again because I lost all my emails because of computer problems. Well, sorry to bother and my best wishes to all. . .. .Regards,. . . . [ 06 March 2002, 01:49: Message edited by: mig21bis ]

Yep, I'm with you! These days a job in the nice warm sun sounds pretty good!. .. .Hey mig, good luck with your job hunt, but when CX calls you can I have your job in the Bahamas? Used to captain the SW4 lo these many years ago... .. .LynxAir I'm guessing?!. .. .Cheers PZ.

Brings back memories of Bahamas Airways....CX's first foray into M&A. Can't recall why they did it other than some of the guys like Bernie Smith wanted to get a suntan and a Bac111 endorsement.. .. .Think the suntan turned intoi sunstroke though..... .. .Some of the Bahamas guys did however get jobs in CX later...Norm Davis, Roger Stewart amongst them.. .. .A part of the history not in the official book.

I myself grew up in the Bahamas and looking for a flying job. How do you get one over there? I still have residence in Freeport and like to get some advice from anyone!. .. .Couple years back the hurricane put Freeport Int'l (small one runway apt) under 6 ft of water. No joke!. .. .Also another pc of info: Li Ka Shing and the Whampoa ppl owns half the airport and Freeport Int'l is considered the world's biggest private airport. FYI. .. .If anyone can help out there, much appreciated. Cheers.. .
