Post The Issues

THE ISSUES ARE:
Discriminatory Employment Regime
Your pilots seek the removal of the airline's discriminatory employment regime, which treats pilots recruited before or after 1993 differently, and treats local pilots and expatriates differently.
Cockpit Fatigue
We seek a professional set of rules that protects your aircrew, and you, from the effects of accumulated jet lag and fatigue in pilots. These are called 'Rostering Practices', and the current set is outdated, poorly managed and inadequate.
Mismanagement
Through poor management, we believe that the airline has earned one of the worst employee relations records in the industry, and has done so since 1993. An internationally acceptable level of aircrew, and the ratio of Captains to First and Second Officers, must be established to maintain maximum safety.

Quoted from the HKAOA Press Release. This and other press releases, including some from CX, can be found on the HKAOA public site, at:

Cool

I should point out that the CX pilots now have their own closed forum, so will no longer be particpating in this one. You may still keep up to date by reading the various press releases (both CX and AOA) on the above site.
