A while back I was asking for information on CX TriStar VR-HOF which was scrapped in Australia in 1995. Thanks to everyone who responded, particularly Simon who has supplied a series of very sad photos of the dismantling process. View the photos here:

Interesting (but sad!) pictures. I note the rather unsubtle method of removing the main landing gear, wonder why we didn't do it this way on "C" checks!!

For those that can remember HKG almost running over the Gurkha pipe band on day one these are sad pics.

Makes one feel one's years. Hope they don't use the same implement to dismantle me when I am scrapped.
