Ten Commandments of Labor

I. Thou shall not cross a picket line, whether visible or invisible, to perform struck work,
nor shall you directly or indirectly train replacement workers.
II. Thou shall not break bread or drink wine with management or scabs, or accept gifts or gratuity to advance their agenda, for they are not your family.
III. Thou shall not bare false witness against your union brothers and sisters, or testify against them at the invitation of management.
IV. Thou shall help thy fellow workers to organize, even if they are outside of your craft and class.
V. Thou shall form a common interest with the greater good, for national affiliation provides strength in numbers.
VI. Thou shall always remain a member in good standing of your union, including the payment of dues and assessments in a timely fashion.
VII. Thou shall be wary of union leaders who seek "good relations" with management.
VIII. Thou shall not fall prey to subtle or overt union busting tactics, such as threats to replace you during a strike, for your courage and solidarity is what management
fears most.
IX. Thou shall never allow management to hold hostages,whether one at a time, or en masse, and no back-to-work agreement shall be signed and presented to the membership until such hostages are fully restored.
X. Thou shall always honor the workers who have sacrificed their lives in the support of Labor, and shall celebrate Labor Day in remembrance of such.
