Question DRAGON, the new HK symbol

Hi, (coanda)

As HK takes use of their $10 million dollar "Dragon" in the future, would eyes turn to KA to be the "airline of Hong Kong"?

Just curious and would like some comments about it, (except nasty ones pls).

Thanks.

HI COANDA? HAD DINNER YET?

I thought it already was the 'Airline of Hong Kong'?!

I think if HK people knew the facts of both companies, they would also agree that KA is the HK's airline. It's only that CX has more ads and is larger....

Sorry to disappoint you all, but the traveling public will fly with the airline that provides the cheapest ticket to the destination of their choice at the time of their choosing. If this happens to be KA, fine. If it happens to be CX, also fine. The answer to the question posed at the start of this thread is subjective. If safety is an issue with said traveler, then both airlines satisfy the requirement. Hope this helps you in your mischievous quest.

That's very true Neutral Stability, but don't forget the two airlines are almost completely different in the routes they serve. They complement each other rather than compete against each other. So people should see both as HK's favourite airline!

BTW, i agree with what you say. But let's assume for a minute that both the airlines flew nearly the same routes, I think HK people would think KA is HK's airline.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Both CX and KA are known for quality in their service and safety from their pilots.

But as HK uses a Dragon as their symbol, with KA using that as well, I was just wondering if that would put pressure on KA to be HK's airline...

Please do not take this topic in the wrong way as it is not to put down any one airline. Just out of curiosity.

Cheers.

PS. (Dragon is better than dolphin, even though the symbol is equally ugly!)
