Australian First Round Interviews

Have an upcoming interview in Sydney. I've done a search and come up with some info, but still would appreciate more. Can anyone answer the following questions:
1. Is the book "Preparing for your Cathay Interview" the best way to prepare? Is it worth buying? Is it up to date? Does anyone have a second hand copy to sell?
2. How does the CX seniority system work? Some have told me its pure seniority, others have said you move quicker to an FO if you have jet time.
3. How long does the entire interview process take - ie if successful through the first stage, how long generally to the next?
Thanks.

Metroboy,
When are they in Sydney and when were you contacted? I'm just interested to know. Haven't been to an interview yet so I can't really help you. But I have heard that the CX Interview book is worth getting. Good luck to you. And by the way what sort of experience do you have?

Metro Boy,
Just finished final cx interviews in HK. Was told seniority is based on start date alone. If 2 applicants come up for upgrade with same start date, the older applicant is taken first (nothing to do with experience).
Cx interview book is also very good, although be carefull with company/fleet info as my copy was accurate in about 98'.
Good Luck GC

Thanks folks - just got hold of the book.
Interview is in mid June in Sydney.
FYI, I have 2000 TT - 1300 RPT turbine FO, 500 of which is as a jet FO.
Was called a couple of months ago for AKL but couldn't manage it, so requested a later date. They rang me 2 weeks ago and offered SY instead. Lucky I don't have to pay big $$$ for a ticket.
Good luck to all.
