Cathay Annual Report 2000
I finally managed to have a look at this. Its quite interesting when you examine the Directors pay. Of the 7 Executive Directors and 12 Non-Exec Directors it reads as follows. 1 Exec Director has had a paycut and the 12 Non-Execs salaries appear to remain the same.Of the others at least 3 have received payrises of between $1,000,000 and $500,000 on their salaries of between $4,000,000 and $7,000,000.
One person in FLT Ops (Non Director) on $4,000,000 plus $1,000,000 allowances.
Perhaps Tony Tyler can make a comment to the SCMP concerning Directors salaries now. It will make headlines if he loads them by 50% as he did the pilots.
The DFO has managed to pay off $100,000 of his loan, its obviously difficult on only $5,000,000 a year.
Anyway having read Phillip Chens account of how we're doing so badly at the moment perhaps the Directors could start a 3 year progressive paycut to help us all out instead of putting all their energy into mismanaging this company.
