Exclamation Extenders

Given all the discussion about extending the retirement age, this article from PA News might be of interest:

Pilot grounded mid-flight for being over 60

A Swiss passenger aircraft was grounded in France after officials found the pilot was over the French age limit of 60.

France is the only country in Europe to set 60 as a maximum age for pilots. A reserve pilot had to be flown in to Nice to allow the Crossair plane to continue on its flight.

Andre Dose, a spokesperson for Crossair, which is part of the Swissair group, said: "Everywhere else in Europe, 65 is the norm and we have seven or eight pilots who are over 60."

As I said before - it's not the age that's the problem, it's the fact that these 4 have accepted terms not covered in our COS and are therefore 'new hirings' ie Direct Entry Captains.
Secondly, demonstrating his inherent hypocrisy, the DFO extended on 'A' scale - probably because he's so good at what he does...........

No, but you may be sooooo repulsed at the thought of having a duty with an EX'r, that you may not be fit for work.
