Thumbs down Professionalism is reciprocal

I take great offence to the Chief Pilot's (Boeing) letter in crews news where he refers to the professionalism amoung a section of our junior pilots with regard to Second Officer manoeuvre sessions.

He refers to insufficint preparation, adverse attire and attitude.

As an S/O I used to spend a great deal of time preparing for these sessions as they are vital for maintaining our standards given no actual aircraft handling. On numerous occasions I was contacted the day before by crew control to have the session cancelled. None of these were ever rescheduled. It is extremely irritating to have this occur and reflects on a lack of professionalism by the company who obviously pay scant regard to these simulator sessions.

So before you start critising the professionalism of the crew take a look at your own!
