Last eve CX 751 out of BKK had and a tyre burst and severe eng fire. Any further news on that, story is that debris fell on the highway in BKK.

All the best to the crew

Was it in that order? First the tyre burst, then the eng fire?
I wonder if schrapnel from the tyre caused the eng fire...

Seems like the guy in the car got away lucky, also was probably the first time that guy had a rolls royce under his hood :-)

Good job to the 777 crew getting the plane back safe.

Cathay certainly has a bad run of luck with the engines lately.

777 engine d-duct separated during t/o, debris punctured the tyre, landed on the car and caused engine indication problems only.

Crew dumped fuel and returned to BKK. Job well done.
