China going VFR

Hi all,

Not teaching anybody here how to suck eggs.

At a recent EBACE conference in Geneva in May one of the comments discussed was that China had commissioned the US to produce its very first VFR maps for the mainland.

Question: is this generally common knowledge and do you have an idea of the timeline involved and which airports/regions are mostly likely to be converted to a VFR environment too?

Pleased to have any general/specific constructive feedback on this mammoth task.

Kind regards,

EG
