Question Surfing and Hockey in HKG

Hello there,

Looking for some contact information.......

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a Cathay surf club or the like - formal or informal - that organizes surf trips amongst the pilots. I know that surfing is very limited in HKG, but lots of great spots a short (and long) flight away and it would be nice to travel with some people who are familiar with them.

Also, I heard that there was a sport complex with a ice rink and I was hoping to play some hockey when I get there (start date in May) and was wondering if anyone had information on playing ice hockey re league or drop in, costs, the arena, if Cathay has a team or teams, and who I should talk to when I get there.

Thanks in advance for any help. I know once I get there I should be able to track down or bump into someone who knows eventually, but I thought that this would cast the net wide and get me on the right track.

Cheers,

surfing
plenty of surfing with many sth africans, aussies and kiwis heading down to bali regularly. good company discounts at hotels etc and at least one cathay flight per day (4:30hrs)

also plenty of pilots into kitesurfing, windsurfing and paragliding in bali, not to mention plenty of diving in thailand, phil etc

hockey
a few cannuks playing in the local ice hockey league. one of the ground instructors is right into it and even has cathay sponsorship for his team.

if you have a stick and a board make sure you bring them, they wont go gathering dust.
