IMC mayday terrror - audio clip

you might have heard this before, but it's worth a listen, if only to remind us to avoid the white stuff....

That first guy made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Flight services were brilliant.

the 'terrified' first guy is the same guy who is thanking the controllers at the end of the clip.

Was told a similar story by a Retired RAF Pilot from the old days....seems he was up doing Single Engine Go Around practice in a Meteor....an airplane well known for being a real handful with lots of power on one donk....nothing on the other. He recounted his practice was at altitude and well it was for he got too slow...and the Meteor tried to imitate a shooting star...as it tumbled out of control. He said he also lost control of some of his physical functions to include blubbering over the radio along the lines of "I am going to die...." or words to that effect that convinced listeners that he might have stumbled upon a piece of truth. He reckons he survived because one of his Squadron mates piped up on the radio...having recognized his voice....and said...."I say Jack old boy, before you go....can I have yer car?"

Jack suggested he got so mad that he forgot about being terrified and recovered the aircraft for a safe landing.

Is this for real?

I'd swear the voice of the so called guy talking afterwards is Tom Cruise!

Is this a renacted scenario!
