What museum is going to have 5 F27s available for this organisation?

Perhaps he's going to re-open the production line too

Lemme guess - Luke Butler???

May the spirit of Sir Reginald Miles Ansett kick the arses of those responsible for this pathetic prank!

Almost sounds like some wannabe Microsoft Flight Simulator "Virtual Airline" wank...

Leave Compass out of it.

That was a great Airline ruined by Ansett.

Compass used all the ingredients in use today...they were ahead of there time. Sadly (for whatever reason) history is littered with these stories. It failed because of the high start up costs married against a slow take up rate from Jo Public.

It failed because of Sir Peter A and Bob H.

Times have changed so much since then, IF Compass had of been allowed to develop like Virgin Blue has, without all that interference, they would still be operating now.

Fuel prices being what they are, I doubt that an F27 would be viable even with every seat filled.

Dreamers.

Hey, whilst we are at it, can we resurrect TAA and East West as well? Maybe do a Dr. Who act and go back to the peace, tranquility, and serenity that was pre-1989???

Thought not

Bit like Pan Am, the real one went belly up years ago but a shadow of its former self continues to operate under the same name.

Pan Am Lite

It's amazing how well respected some brand names are. I was in Myer the other day looking for some new rags and I came across ANSETT clothing in the mens department.

I would say if anyone would would want to get the old airline going they will have to fight a chinese sweat shop for the rights.......

I think the full name Willie is Ansett Knitting Mills & they've been around for many years.
