What museum is going to have 5 F27s available for this organisation?

Perhaps he's going to re-open the production line too

Ty Webb 30th Apr 2005 01:32

Sounds a bit like the new Jet* flight ops. dept.:confused:

SkySista 30th Apr 2005 05:44

Love the girl Photoshopped into the cabin door picture at left.... even though it isn't even they same kind of plane! hehehe....

Laikim Liklik Susu 30th Apr 2005 07:38

Lemme guess - Luke Butler??? :p :p :p

May the spirit of Sir Reginald Miles Ansett kick the arses of those responsible for this pathetic prank!

Almost sounds like some wannabe Microsoft Flight Simulator "Virtual Airline" wank...

Buster Hyman 30th Apr 2005 07:58

Leave Ansett out of it...its gone. Try Compass 3 if you must.:suspect:

planemad2 1st May 2005 04:34

Leave Compass out of it. :(

That was a great Airline ruined by Ansett. :( :( :(

Yeh . Real great, not.

Compass used all the ingredients in use today...they were ahead of there time. Sadly (for whatever reason) history is littered with these stories. It failed because of the high start up costs married against a slow take up rate from Jo Public.

planemad2 1st May 2005 07:00

It failed because of Sir Peter A and Bob H. :mad: :mad: :mad:

Times have changed so much since then, IF Compass had of been allowed to develop like Virgin Blue has, without all that interference, they would still be operating now. :rolleyes:

Fuel prices being what they are, I doubt that an F27 would be viable even with every seat filled.

Dreamers.

for crying out loud--trying to flog a dead dog--
let it rest in peace

Laikim Liklik Susu 2nd May 2005 07:17

Hey, whilst we are at it, can we resurrect TAA and East West as well? Maybe do a Dr. Who act and go back to the peace, tranquility, and serenity that was pre-1989???

Thought not :{

Buster Hyman 2nd May 2005 07:56

I wonder if we can our own ANA back up again...not some Japanese imitation!:E :ouch:

gaunty 2nd May 2005 11:20

Bit like Pan Am, the real one went belly up years ago but a shadow of its former self continues to operate under the same name.

Pan Am Lite

It's amazing how well respected some brand names are. I was in Myer the other day looking for some new rags and I came across ANSETT clothing in the mens department.

I would say if anyone would would want to get the old airline going they will have to fight a chinese sweat shop for the rights.......:confused:

Buster Hyman 3rd May 2005 08:53

I think the full name Willie is Ansett Knitting Mills & they've been around for many years.
