CV Donator, your thinking is correct. The A330/40 utilise full span single slotted Fowler-flaps.
FYI - A300/10 = double slotted flaps. A300-600 & A320 variants (except A321's) = single slotted.

Yeah sometimes the interviewer asks rather trivial questions, such as what flaps are on the airbus or boeing or whatever aircraft they feel like asking, describe the fuel or flight control system or electrical system on an aircraft that we don't fly on. So why or how would we know?! We may ask.
In reality, these questions are asked to determine our inquisitiveness, amongst other traits, which would indirectly show what our personality, character or attitude is towards certain issues. They also want to see our train or pattern of thought too.
I tend to think of trivial technical interview questions as partly technical and partly personal.
