C182 power settings

Gday everyone!
I'm looking at doing a 182 check ride, and was wondering what sorts of power setting combinations people use, and other things, like leaning tips and fuel flow rates, infact, just general tips.

I know that I will learn this once doing the check, but I'd like to get a few opinions and ideas before I do sit in the seat... In doing so, I hope it will save me some dosh!

In any case, everybody learns different things. And peoples different advice would be great.

The particular aircrafts Pilot Operating Manual is the only port of call, individual opinions matter little

Somebody asked this a while back, and I posted the settings I used on the 182RG in this thread. As homeguard says you should check the POH as there are variations between the different models

Thanks for the replies guys.

I got hold of the POH, all the info in there. Was just interested to see what people had to say.
