Hi guys

I am aware that since the AIS website "improvements" of last August a lot of airfields are no longer displaying NOTAM.

Primarily this is because there has not been a "standard" NOTAM brief available that is suitable for display on a self-briefing board like the old A1/A8 bulletins.

We now have a good replacement brief that is geographically sorted like the old A8 bulletin. It is available from www.ais.org.uk
Once you have logged in choose NOTAM and then look at the four VFR briefs that are listed.

Can I ask you all to try and get these displayed on the self-briefing board at your home field and also to ensure that your students know where to go for them.

In the event of problems with the AIS site, briefings are also available at http://www.nats.co.uk/operational/pibs/index.shtml but these are only updated twice each day and should therefore only be used as backup.

More info on the Private Flying forum.

Many thanks
